Cameras, sensors and alarms

Your hardware, your footage

Most home security keeps your footage on its own servers and charges a monthly fee to let you see it. Ours records to a device in your home, with no fee to record or to watch.

  • Sensors, siren and cameras
  • Records in your home
  • No recording fees
  • Own your hardware
  • G6 Turret

How it works

Pick the kit that covers what you want covered, tell us the property, and it arrives configured. Put it in yourself or have us do it.

  1. Pick the kit

Both kits come with cameras and a recorder that keeps the footage in your home. If you want the doors and windows covered too, Alarm & Cameras adds the sensors and a siren. There’s no alarm on its own, because the sensors run on that same recorder.

  2. Add cameras where you want to see

A doorbell at the front, a turret on the driveway, a small camera on a hallway. Each one records to the box in your home rather than to anybody’s cloud. Add cameras to the kit as you choose it, and where the property needs more than its recorder takes, we design a bigger one for it.

  3. It arrives configured

Sensors paired, cameras named for where they go, alerts set to people and vehicles rather than every passing shadow, and access given to the people you name. You’re matching labels to rooms, not reading a manual.

  4. Put it in yourself, or we do

Sensors and the indoor pieces are a DIY job, and we’re a phone call away if you get stuck. Wired cameras and a doorbell mean pulling cable, which is the part most people would rather hand over.

  • Doors and windows on the alarm

Alarm & Cameras adds contact sensors on the doors and windows, a glass break sensor that also sees motion, and a 110 dB siren, armed and disarmed from your phone. The cameras show you why it went off.

  • The only copy is yours

Recording happens on a recorder in your home, and the recorder is yours. We do not keep a copy of the footage, and the recorder logs whoever opens it. If you want an off-site copy against fire or theft, you choose where it goes.

  • No fee per camera

Adding a fourth camera costs you a camera. There’s no subscription that grows every time you decide to cover another corner of the property.

  • Find the moment in seconds

Search by person or by vehicle, or draw a box around the part of the driveway you care about. You aren’t scrubbing six hours of an empty lawn.

  • Alerts that mean something

Set it to tell you when a person is in the driveway at two in the morning and to stay quiet about the neighbor’s cat. A notification you have learned to ignore is worse than none at all.

  • It keeps working when the internet doesn’t

Cameras record locally, so an outage doesn’t leave a gap in the footage. The only thing affected is watching it from somewhere else.

Pick the one that suits your home

Prices cover the hardware and the setup. Add what your home needs, or have it designed around the property if none of them are right for it.

What we can see, and what we can’t

Letting a company into the system that watches your home is a real thing to be uneasy about. Here’s exactly what we hold and what we don’t, and it’s written into our privacy policy.

  • We never hold a copy of your footage

Cameras record to the recorder in your home. The accounts we work from day to day cannot open footage at all.

  • You decide who can watch

The recorder logs whoever opens your footage. You can see that list and change who has access whenever you want.

Common questions

Not for recording and not for viewing. That hardware is yours and it lives in your home. The only monthly charge is the support plan that comes with every system. It’s month to month, and nothing stops working if you cancel it.

It depends on how many cameras you run, whether they’re 2K or 4K, and whether they record continuously or only when something is detected. The kits ship with 4 TB, which is comfortable for the cameras they include. Add cameras, or set everything to record around the clock, and the same drive covers a much shorter window. Tell us the window you care about and we’ll set each camera up to fit it: continuous where it matters, detections only where it doesn’t.

You buy the equipment once and it’s yours, the recording sits on a device in your home, and none of it stops working if you stop paying us. Ring and SimpliSafe sell you the hardware too, but recorded video lives in their cloud, and keeping it is what the monthly fee pays for.

Through Home Assistant, yes. The UniFi integration brings the cameras and the sensors in alongside everything else you run, and we can set that up as part of a custom design. On their own the cameras and the alarm live in the UniFi Protect app, which is where you arm, disarm and watch: UniFi doesn’t publish an Alexa, Google or HomeKit integration for them.

Our alarm is self-monitored: a tripped sensor sounds the siren and alerts your phone. While we do not offer alarm monitoring, Ubiquiti has announced its own, powered by Noonlight, for UniFi Protect 7.4.
