Five jobs, and still their first call

We’ve worked with this owner through a second business across the street, a network overhaul and two changes of internet provider.

What they needed

The owner first called us in 2019 for a different business, an auto sales office. When the owner opened this service center across the street later that year, we did that one too, and for a few years the two buildings ran as one site.

Since then the sales business has closed, the service center has outgrown its first network, and it has changed internet providers twice. Each of those changes could have taken the phones or the network down with it.

    The sales office

We built the network and phone system for the owner’s auto sales business.

  2. Nov 2019

The service center across the street

When the owner opened the service center, we networked it and offered three ways to join the two buildings: fiber, a wireless bridge or a site-to-site VPN. The owner chose the VPN, so both ran on one phone system.

  3. Feb 2024

    One building, rebuilt

The sales business closed. We overhauled the service center’s network, brought it up to date and ran new cable tray to the rack.

    Phones that work over Starlink

When the service center moved to Starlink, we moved its phones from FreePBX to UniFi Talk, which works over Starlink’s shared connection. We replaced one desk phone and kept the three Digium D65s.

  5. Jul 2026

Back to Xfinity, with a backup

When the service center switched back to Xfinity, we added a 5G backup so it stays online when the cable line drops.

What changed

The network and Wi-Fi we rebuilt in 2024 have carried the service center through two changes of internet provider, and the 5G backup now keeps it online whenever the Xfinity line drops.

The owner likes the new desk phone, which also shows the service center’s existing cameras as a pilot, and still calls us for whatever the business needs next.
