More time on the cars, less on the network

• Cameras that read a plate after dark

  After a break-in on the lot or a dispute over a dent, the footage has to show which vehicle it was and its plate. We place cameras where they can read a plate, and AI search finds a vehicle across a night of footage.

• Wi-Fi around lifts and bay doors

  Steel lifts, tool chests and roll-up doors change the signal as they move through the day. We place access points for the bays themselves, so diagnostic tablets and scan tools stay connected at every lift, and run cable to the bench computers.

• Customers on their own network

  The waiting room and showroom get a guest network that reaches the internet and nothing else. Shop computers, card terminals and cameras sit on networks a customer’s phone cannot see.

• Phones that route sales and service

  Callers choose sales, service or parts and reach the people who handle it. A call can ring a desk phone in the shop and, through the UniFi Talk app, a salesperson’s cell phone out on the lot.

• The parts room and the shop, locked at closing

  Staff open the shop, the parts room and the office with a card or their phone, and every door locks on schedule at closing. When someone leaves, their access is turned off, with no keys to collect.

• Open for business when the line drops

  Card terminals and cloud dealership software stop the moment the internet does. A 5G backup takes over automatically, so the service desk keeps writing tickets and taking payments, and the network hands back when the main line returns.
