What Ubiquiti launched
The line now covers the network from end to end: the Cloud Gateway Industrial, which came out earlier this year, DIN rail switches for a control cabinet, and the U7 Industrial access point.
Built for rough environments
The line is made for the places that wear out standard equipment: unconditioned attics and outbuildings that bake in summer and freeze in winter, refrigerated warehouses, and dirty or industrial spaces where gear can take a knock.
For the whole build in those buildings, from the gateway to the cameras and the doors, see Warehouses and Plants.
The U7 Industrial
The U7 Industrial is a sealed Wi-Fi 7 access point, rated IP67 and built to run from -40 to 158°F, that mounts on a wall or a pole.
What sets it apart is how it shapes coverage. With its adjustable reflectors fitted, it aims the Wi-Fi in one direction, down a long aisle, across a yard or over a parking lot, and hears less interference from everything behind and beside it. With omnidirectional antennas fitted instead, it covers all the way around.

DIN rail switches
The DIN switch comes in three versions: the DIN 8 PoE, a faster DIN 2.5G 8 PoE, and the DIN 8 without PoE.
They mount on a DIN rail inside a control cabinet and run on DC power, with two inputs so one can fail without taking the switch down. That makes them a natural fit for a remote building on a solar and battery system, where there’s no grid power to plug into. The DIN 8 takes anything from 12 to 60V, which also covers a vehicle’s 12V system.
The DIN 8 PoE also has a relay that trips when a device fails, so it can be wired into a PLC or an alarm to warn staff the moment critical equipment goes offline.

For first responders and EMA
The Cloud Gateway Industrial is also a strong choice for law enforcement and emergency response, especially paired with Starlink for an internet connection where there’s no wired line.

It takes up to five internet connections and works with the UniFi 5G Backup and 5G Max, so Starlink, a wired line and cellular can cover for each other.
It runs the full UniFi suite: Network, Protect, Talk and Access. A command post, a mobile unit or a temporary site can have cameras, phones and door locks wherever it’s set up, all on the one gateway.

Who it’s for
- Equipment in an unconditioned attic, an outbuilding or a refrigerated warehouse
- Dirty or industrial spaces where standard gear gets damaged
- A control cabinet that needs to warn staff when equipment fails
- Law enforcement and emergency response, especially with Starlink
